About Katie Gray

Before I had a job, a degree, a driver's license, or any experiences, I had art. In 2nd grade I was commissioned by my teacher to design a logo for the shirts we would all wear to the Atlanta zoo, to see the albino alligator, specifically. So, I drew a pretty cool looking alligator that was stamped onto about 25 little shirts. Success at an early age!

In high school I was asked to paint a mural of the school's mascot - a dragon holding the world. Not exactly an alligator, but biologically speaking, not too far from my first work of art.

Now I live on the great Cumberland Plateau, along with a park ranger and two awesome cats. With countless waterfalls, soaring vistas, and bountiful wildlife, it's a great place to get inspired about the natural beauty surrounding us. A few springs back, I displayed several of my paintings at the Trails & Trilliums festival held at the Monteagle Assembly. A few paintings have been sold to local residents, donated to the South Cumberland Visitor Center, or are still hanging on my wall!

Please use this webpage to enjoy my works of art. If you see something for sale and you are interested in buying it, feel free to contact me. If you have an image in mind that you would like to see painted, let me know!

Sincerely,

Katie Gray
